Day 20: Exodus 4-6

It seems that Moses was supposed to warn Pharaoh of the 10th plague in the
beginning: "And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is
my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may
serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son,
even thy firstborn." ‭(Exodus‬ ‭4:22-23‬‭) I wonder if he did? What are the
consequences of our reluctance to speak the worst of God's judgment?

Friday SOAP: So why was it OK for Moses to shatter the Law written by God's own hand, but not OK for him to strike the rock a second time? Monday SOAP: Two mountains - Pisgah and Horeb - show powerful reasons for honoring God and His Law. Moses, himself the penman of the Law, suffers greatly because he cannot keep the spirit of it. (Deut 6:5; Lev. 19:18) This implies the holiness of the ultimate Source as well as the coming fulfillment and End (telos) of it.
